Heidi Wardell

Heidi Wardell is the LAS Student Engagement Professional for the College of Letters, Arts & Sciences at UCCS, working with the LAS eHub to promote student connection, leadership development, and belonging. She also oversees the LAS Peak Ambassador leadership program, creating meaningful opportunities for students to engage with the college and build skills for success. Heidi joined UCCS in 2013, beginning her career with the National Student Exchange program before transitioning to LAS exclusively. She holds a degree in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Biblical Studies from Biola University.

Originally from Pismo Beach, California, Heidi came to Colorado for a college internship and quickly made it home. She and her husband of 17 years have a young son who keeps their family active and adventurous. Outside of work, Heidi enjoys time with friends, fitness classes, and Gordon Ramsay cooking competitions. Guided by kindness, care, and a genuine commitment to student success, Heidi finds it a privilege to support students as they grow in confidence, discover their strengths, and pursue their goals.
