Jade Ellis
Outstanding Student in Political Science and PhilosophyJade Ellis is graduating with a double major in Political Science and Philosophy with a minor in Pre-Law. Jade has been an exemplary student and is graduating with an overall GPA of 3.99 and was on the President’s List from 2019-22. During her undergraduate career Jade has written for The Scribe since 2019 where she has also served as the Opinion and Life on the Bluff’s. Her academic performance has been recognized by being a part of the University’s Honors Program since 2019 and the Bastiat Honors Program. After graduation, Jade plans to take a gap year to work as paralegal, legal assistant, or legal researcher and then attend graduate or law school.
Alysia Jimenez
Outstanding Student in Political Science and PhilosophyAlysia Jiminez is graduating with a major in Political Science and minor in Pre-Law. She has performed at an exceptionally high level throughout college career and she is graduating with an overall GPA of 3.94. Alysia has received numerous awards and recognitions including being a member of the Bastiat Honor Society from 2019-22, a Reach Your Peak Scholarship recipient from from 2018-22, a member of the President’s and Dean’s Lists from 2018-22, and Student Employee of the Year nominee. She was also a member of the UCCS Mock Trial team from 2018-20 and was an intern for Governor Polis’s Community Engagement Office in 2021. After graduation she plans to pursue a legal career in civil rights or human rights law.
