LAS COVID Resources (update fall 2020)
UCCS will return to in-person operations this fall, welcoming new students and current students alike to campus.
For ongoing campus updates please check UCCS COVID-19 webpage frequently.
To ensure we continue to build and sustain the UCCS experience, each of us will need to do our part to keep our friends, classmates and colleagues safe. This is the fundamental aspect of UCCS Protect the Pride.
We all agree to respect the dignity, health and safety of the entire community by following the guidelines described in the Returning Stronger Together plan.
While this document describes university planning in-depth, the highlights of our Returning Stronger Together decision process are guided by science-based, universal operating constraints, including:
- Social distancing – as described in current public health guidance (6’ separation as of this writing) will be the rule across campus, and in classrooms and offices.
- All UCCS community members – students, faculty, staff and visitors – will wear face coverings while on campus, with limited exceptions.
- Classroom, office and event spaces will follow public health guidelines for reduced density according to room capacity

A university is a collection of its people, not its buildings, and all decisions made in response to the COVID-19 pandemic have been with the safety of our students, faculty and staff as the priority. With safety at top of mind, we still fully understand the importance of the in-person college experience both for first-year students and for students who excel in an in-person learning environment.
Please note these new requirements to access the campus.
