About the Program

The Minor in Visual & Performing Arts allows students to complete a cross-disciplinary minor across any combination of the visual and performing arts. This degree is intended to complement other degrees, either within VAPA or more broadly within the liberal arts and sciences. It is also well suited to provide experience in the arts that will enhance a student's ability to participate in community arts-based productions in the future.

Focus of Study

The Minor in VAPA gives a student a general cross-disciplinary preparation in any two or more of the visual and performing arts.

Program Requirements

  • 18 credit hours of VAPA coursework
  • 9 upper-division credit hours (3000-4999 level)
  • 2.0 Minor GPA (grade of C or better in any course counted toward the minor)
  • Residency: Last 9 credit hours of the minor must be completed while registered at UCCS

Note: Speak with an academic advisor to declare a minor.
